SUPERVISORY MAINTENANCE DATA SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes performing work processes and terminology of aircraft maintenance functions and familiarly with precedents; Analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations on maintenance automated data systems as they pertain to the unit equipped (UE) wing with C-5 aircraft; and manage maintenance automated systems. OR EDUCATION:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of Air Force, Air Force Reserve Station (AFRES) and gaining command automated data processing standards, policies, goals. Knowledge of computer networking requirements. Knowledge of maintenance automated management information systems to include G081 system. Ability to analyze interrelationships of pertinent components of automated systems. Knowledge of computer software and systems development life cycles. Knowledge of computer security requirements. Knowledge of computer-user interfaces. Ability to motivate, and work effectively with diverse subordinates. Ability to accomplish, plan, and carryout expected quality and quantity of work. Ability to understand and further management goals. Ability to develop improvements in and design new work methods and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions relating to the work of the organization. Other Significant Facts:
Performs other related duties as assigned. Incumbent may be required to fly on commercial and government aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. This is an Air Force Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties; however, the incumbent may also be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30% of total responsibilities. Work schedules will be aligned to allow the individuals to function fully on unit training assembly (UTA) weekends. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. PART-TIME OR UNPAID

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
