com Job Description This is an onsite position at our Rancho Belago CA location.
The pay is $61,000 - $93,400 a year Must have experience with Excel, Access, and VB (Visual Basic) POSITION
Summary:
This position will synthesize current business intelligence and trend data to assess areas of improvement and support recommendations for action.
Will define and implement routine reports, dashboards, and analyses in Excel, SQL, Power BI, and other business intelligence database and reporting tools.
Will work closely with the global distribution center operations, engineering, and I.
T.
teams to define, automate and validate the extraction of new metrics from various data sources for use in future analysis and reporting.
Essential Functions:
Perform standalone and/or ongoing projects involving analysis of data.
May include importing/exporting data between platforms/apps, as well as reporting on findings and making recommendations to management.
Analyze and make updates to queries, formulas, programming on internal department apps and tools.
Enhance and streamline report design and reporting processes, as well as create new departmental reports.
Review reports generated to ensure accuracy of report programming and data input.
Update reference documents, department forms, and maintain network files and folders.
Distribute department reports to appropriate distribution.
Make recommendations to management and IT for improving processes, programming, data storage strategy, reporting, etc.
to help achieve greater inventory accuracy, compliance, and smoother flow of orders through the DC.
Learn and perform various IC Analyst functions:
Review filter report issues and resolve all issues in an appropriate time frame.
Monitor urgent on-line orders and un-waved orders and resolve as soon as possible.
Communicate issues as necessary to appropriate contacts in other departments, corporate office, and management.
Explain any perpetual inventory issues encountered to management.
Work closely with the assigned team, as well as with the business intelligence teams to solve problems with a holistic approach, owning the analytical portion and reporting.
Define and implement routine reports (weekly / monthly) of key performance metrics, action items, and alerts.
Generate analysis and develop key insights from various data sources to come up with actionable recommendations.
Designing and building reports, dashboards, and analyses in Excel, MS Access, SQL, and Power BI.
Using all data elements available to the operation/business to create a single source of data and reporting used to guide the warehouse operations on daily planning and measuring plan vs actual to help drive throughput.
Create standard and ad-hoc reports based on business needs.
Assist with data gathering, transformation, data cleaning and loading.
Highly experienced in data management and reporting Proficiency with SQL/Relational Databases Develop intuitively useful, business-facing PowerBI dashboards that efficiently display a wide variety of data to minimize time-to-solutions and answers for the business and maximize efficiency in warehouse operations.
Learn and understand the business, create KPI's, and relevant aggregations and assemblies of business data to help drive business efficiency.
Work with all departments of the business.
Monitor and/or set up alerts on KPI's.
Make adjustments and improvements to current Power BI inventory.
Ability to query source data using SQL and other tools, to accelerate time to reporting.
Collect, organize, and clean data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Create and maintain visually appealing and insightful reports and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications Experience in distribution and fulfillment operations Experience querying, reviewing, and analyzing transactions on a business platform.
Experience developing reporting from datasets and relational databases.
Manhattan Associate WMi or similar WMS software, and/or some DC experience preferred.
Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel, and MS Access, MS Office visual basic and automation knowledge required.
Strong knowledge of SQL.
Experience working with data sets and creating reporting.
Advanced MS Office knowledge, including Excel and Access, Visual Basic Level 3 SQL proficiency Report/dashboard building in Power BI or similar.
